From the Principal

Dear Parents and Community Members,

School is off to a great start and we enjoyed our time with you at our Open House, where we had the opportunity to share with you the Harrison Central School District curriculum as well as some of the ways that our instructional program has grown. I'm pleased that we have the commitment, matierial resources and professional expertise to provide a supportive, intellectually stimulating environment to all of our students. Parents and families have an important role to play as well.

October is a great month to become involved at school. Our PTA is meeting on October 16 and our Book Fair runs from October 20 - 24. Our Fall Festival is scheduled for October 24 and an exciting tradition continues with our Halloween Parade on October 31. Our first grade is also planning their Columbus Day play, so keep your eyes open for more information; it will be on the way soon. These events are wonderful opportunities for you to contribute to school life. Please let your child's teacher or the PTA know if you are available to lend a hand.

I also encourage parents to reach out to teachers or to me if you have questions, concerns, or ideas for making our school a better place for children. With your support, Preston School will continue to be a wonderful place to learn and grow. I look forward to seeing you around school soon!
